Playing – both free play and organised play – has long been recognised as a very important part of child development. It promotes both mental and physical well being. Play is fun, but children also learn from it – they discover new things, make friends, and often make decisions by themselves and with other children.
Pupils will learn about games from older generations and will also examine the very nature of play. This lesson makes use of a range of multimedia tools – videos, websites and lots of fun outdoor game ideas!
